View reminder lists

The sidebar displays all your reminder lists and Smart Lists. The Smart Lists are labeled Today, Scheduled, All, and Flagged.

In the Reminders app on your Mac, do any of the following:

  • Show or hide the sidebar: Choose View > Show Sidebar or View > Hide Sidebar.

  • Resize the sidebar: Move the pointer over the right edge of the sidebar until the pointer changes, then drag to make the sidebar wider or narrower.

  • Rearrange reminder lists in the sidebar: Drag the reminder lists in the sidebar into the order you want them.

  • View the reminders in a list: Select the list in the sidebar.

  • View a reminder list in a separate window: Double-click the list in the sidebar.

View upcoming or current reminders

Use Smart Lists for quick access to your reminders.

  1. In the Reminders app on your Mac, choose View > Show Sidebar.

  2. Do any of the following: Flowjo crack download.

    • See reminders that are due today: Click the Today Smart List. The Today list also shows all overdue reminders.

    • See all scheduled reminders: Click the Scheduled Smart List.

    • See all reminders: Click the All Smart List.

    • See flagged reminders: Click the Flagged Smart List.

View completed reminders

  1. In the Reminders app on your Mac, choose View > Show Sidebar.

  2. Select a reminder list, scroll to the top of the list until you see the number of completed reminders, then click Show.

You can view completed reminders in any of your reminders lists, as well as the Scheduled, All, and Flagged Smart Lists.

Sort reminders in a list

You can sort by due date, priority, title, creation date, or manually.

Custom lists and the All Smart List sort manually by default. You can temporarily sort any of these lists by due date, priority, title, creation date, or manually (they return to being manually sorted when you next view the list). In the Scheduled Smart List, when you drag a reminder to a different date, the reminder’s date setting is updated.

You can’t change the sort order in the Today or Flagged Smart Lists.

  1. In the Reminders app on your Mac, choose View > Show Sidebar.

  2. Select a reminder list in the sidebar.

  3. Choose View > Sort By, then choose an option.

    • Sort reminders manually: Choose Manual, then drag reminders into the order you want.

    • Sort automatically: Choose Due Date, Priority, Creation Date, or Title.

The existing reminders are sorted immediately, then new reminders are sorted automatically as they are added to the list.

Your reminders are sorted only on your Mac, not on any devices where you also view your reminders.

If you use Handoff, you can switch between your Mac and other devices while viewing reminders. To open a reminder list handed off to your Mac, click the Handoff Reminders icon that appears at the left side of the Dock.

After a query has produced an output table (after the select list has been processed) it can optionally be sorted. If sorting is not chosen, the rows will be returned in an unspecified order. The actual order in that case will depend on the scan and join plan types and the order on disk, but it must not be relied on. A particular output ordering can only be guaranteed if the sort step is explicitly chosen.

The ORDER BY clause specifies the sort order:

The sort expression(s) can be any expression that would be valid in the query's select list. An example is:

When more than one expression is specified, the later values are used to sort rows that are equal according to the earlier values. Each expression can be followed by an optional ASC or DESC keyword to set the sort direction to ascending or descending. ASC order is the default. Ascending order puts smaller values first, where 'smaller' is defined in terms of the < operator. Similarly, descending order is determined with the > operator. [1]

The NULLS FIRST and NULLS LAST options can be used to determine whether nulls appear before or after non-null values in the sort ordering. By default, null values sort as if larger than any non-null value; that is, NULLS FIRST is the default for DESC order, and NULLS LAST otherwise.

Note that the ordering options are considered independently for each sort column. For example ORDER BY x, y DESC means ORDER BY x ASC, y DESC, which is not the same as ORDER BY x DESC, y DESC.

A sort_expression can also be the column label or number of an output column, as in:

both of which sort by the first output column. Note that an output column name has to stand alone, that is, it cannot be used in an expression — for example, this is not correct:

This restriction is made to reduce ambiguity. There is still ambiguity if an ORDER BY item is a simple name that could match either an output column name or a column from the table expression. The output column is used in such cases. This would only cause confusion if you use AS to rename an output column to match some other table column's name.

ORDER BY can be applied to the result of a UNION, INTERSECT, or EXCEPT combination, but in this case it is only permitted to sort by output column names or numbers, not by expressions.
