• Gain Riding Range and Power can now be set separately (lower) for the separate low latency processor. This may help counteract the phenomenon of DJs suddenly becoming terrible at gain-riding (with resulting all-over-the-place levels) as soon as they get a processed monitor feed.
• Stream Receiver desired buffer adjustment resolution increased – now 0.01 seconds across the entire range. Maximum Range decreased to 1 minute because who needs 5 now that standby backup is available.
• Livewire channels will now be automatically retaken if they and the clock go away with no warning, for example by a switch reboot somewhere upstream.
• Configure while Running no longer restarts the processor if no changes were made.

• Diversity Delay can now be moved to before the stream receiver. This allows near-seamless silence sense based failover from main input to the standby backup stream receiver, by delaying the main input to be in sync with the stream.
• Silence sense happens before the diversity delay, so this also serves as look-ahead, allowing the backup stream receiver to take over before you are off the air.
• Pre Stream Receiver patch point added, to facilitate adjusting the diversity delay for near perfect sync with the stream receiver without having to toggle it on/off. (Use an Input and Pre Stream Receiver oscilloscope side by side and tune the diversity delay until they’re in sync).
• Stream receiver initial delay accuracy improved
• WDM Input can now be the master clock:
  • When pushing for low latency with for example on-board Realtek, there can be the occasional dropout.
    If the input is not master clock, it must go through a buffer / sample rate converter, and that’s where the dropout can occur.
    If this happens at the input, it affects ALL outputs.
    If input is master clock, then any glitch would happen at the low latency speaker output only, and not affect any other output!
  • Because an input can now be clock master, no output device is required — no need to enable Internal PLL if you’re using only an input sound card.
• New Preset: Nebula
• Fifo on-the-fly buffer adjustment bug fixed — should no longer get stuck.

• Internal PLL master clock option added. Allows running completely without a sound card. Internal PLL can be locked to network clock, meaning no sample rate conversion necessary for any AoIP (Livewire/AES67) I/O.
• Default display configurations added for all core types. Will not affect existing configurations, but BaRemote from a fresh system will now get sensible default display settings.
  You can apply the new default display configuration by deleting the old one:
  • For the App, BreakawayOne Shortcuts – Data Folders – BaOne Config Files. Delete “BreakawayOne – Gui.ini”. Do not delete any other files.
  • For BaRemote, hold the left Shift key while connecting. A popup will open, asking whether to keep saved settings. Select “No”.

  Please note that certain selected patch points saved in the user configurations in BaRemote may revert to Input Left due to several related bug fixes.

• Can now accept multiple URLs (used in a round-robin fashion), separated by a space.
• Dual stream receivers. The secondary receiver has:
  • Standby/Backup functionality. It will wake up and connect to its source stream at the first sign of trouble in the primary stream receiver, such as network congestion.
    This makes it usable over metered connections such as 3G/4G because it will only use data when active.
    With Burst on Connect tuned properly, it can be ready and playing before the primary receiver runs out of data, for nearly seamless takeover.
    All this makes it viable to use the public internet as an STL, as you can achieve high reliability with a standard ADSL line + 3G backup.It can also function as a backup for the main input, but then there will unavoidably be some dead
    air before the main input silence detector (also new in this version) wakes the backup stream receiver up.
  • Override mode, where it overrides both the primary stream receiver and the main input when it has a non-silent stream. Useful for Guest DJs.

Pass-through core license rule change:

• If you’re using only pass-through cores (no HD, FM or AM), then run-as-service, BaRemote and HTTP control are included for free, and no longer require the management package.This makes the PT + Streaming option a cost effective, high quality, reliable streaming encoder in its own right,
  useful anywhere you need a high quality streaming encoder, no matter what processor you use.

Features:

• VST plug-ins are inserted after auto-balance and diversity delay, before the AGC.
• Plug-ins execute in a separate host process so your on-air audio is protected even if a plug-in crashes the host process
• Pre-VST patch point, for displaying, analyzing and listening before and after the plug-ins, without affecting on-air output
• 5 plug-ins can be used per core. Plug-ins can be shared by routing input audio from another core’s Post Plug-in audio.
• Uses 32-bit VST plug-ins for maximum compatibility (even though BreakawayOne is 64-bit native).
• Bypass delay can be matched to plug-in delay with a slider, for synchronized meters and minimal audio interruption when enabling/disabling plug-ins

Caveats:

• Services run in the SYSTEM account and cannot open windows, so when BreakawayOne is running as a service, the Plug-in configuration windows will be unavailable.
  Plug-ins with remote control support (for example TCP or HTTP) can be controlled regardless. For plug-ins that can only be controlled from their own user interface, run BreakawayOne as an App while adjusting the plug-ins, then leave them alone.
• Plug-ins are after the Diversity Delay in the path, so any core that uses the Post-plug-in routing option gets the diversity delay.
  Thus, if you want to share plug-ins between an FM and HD Radio™ core, put the plug-ins in the HD core, and set FM source to “HD Post Plug-in”, so that FM gets its own Diversity Delay, and doesn’t affect the HD.
